"Be grateful for what you have"

Chris is one of the most enthusiastic people you will ever meet. Full of energy, loyal and caring, always ready to help others and a dog lover at heart. Passionate about sports and travelling and dedicated to whatever he commits to. Chris is a super talented photographer and videographer. His optimistic and open-minded attitude ensures he is always up for trying new things to expand his horizon!

What does taking care of yourself mean to you?

To me taking care or yourself means being and staying healthy, enjoying life and doing things you love and enjoy as much as possible. Trying not to worry about the little stuff in life because there are way worse things that can happen or are happening in the world. Be grateful for what you have. And challenge yourself to take further steps and grow.

What do you do for yourself when you feel you need more care for yourself?

I’ll make time for myself to do the things I love to do. For me those are: binge watching some series on Netflix and order food or play, cuddle and sleep with my dog. And going out with my camera and take photos and videos, and then do some editing.

Was there a specific moment when you felt self-care is very important?

At a quite young age, when I was living with one of my parents, I felt I needed time for myself and also I strongly felt I wanted to be able to take care of myself. It felt good being independent and creating my own life and happiness.

What is your TCOYS tip to other people?

Make sure you do the things you love and make time to do those things, enjoying these things will lead to happiness. It sounds simple and it is: if you are not doing the things you love doing, or even worse: when you don’t like the things you do, you’re not taking care of yourself.
